Kings Forest is a landmark masterplanned community within the Tweed Shire, delivering large scale residential neighbourhoods, parks, streetscapes and environmental corridors. Boyds Bay Landscaping was originally engaged by LEDA Holdings to deliver landscape construction across Precinct 5, with the project later transitioning smoothly to Stockland via novation during construction. The scope involved complex, staged delivery of streetscapes, parklands, major swales and a flagship Central Park, requiring close coordination with civil contractors, consultants and council stakeholders. A strong focus was placed on Water Sensitive Urban Design, bushfire protection, soil rehabilitation and long term landscape resilience, alongside the creation of high amenity public spaces for the emerging community.

Despite the scale and duration of the works, the transition between developers was managed seamlessly, maintaining program continuity, quality standards and collaborative working relationships. The result is a robust and highly considered landscape framework that underpins the long term vision for Kings Forest and sets a benchmark for large scale residential developments in the Northern Rivers.

Scope of Works
Streetscapes: turf, trees and planting, parkway and public domain landscaping, central park with major amenities, bulk planting including advanced trees, entry statements, signage and features, soil preparation and ground improvement, mulch, stone and erosion control treatments, maintenance and staged establishment, coordination with civil, consultants and council, swale drainage systems and bushfire protection.

Miles, Queensland , Bellwether

Western Downs Regional Council has delivered a revitalisation of the Miles CDB streetscape as part of councils COVID-19 recover package, securing and creating jobs and enhancing the livability of the region. The project has transformed the CBD into a vibrant, welcoming space, activating the streetscape and encouraging people to slow down, stop, visit and stay longer.

Scope of Works
Extensive demolition of existing streetscape, concreting & crazy paving features, feature arbours & artworks, street furniture, soft landscaping, automatic irrigation system.

Miles CBD

Logan, QLD, Logan City Council

Boyds Bay Group were engaged by Logan City Council to complete the revitalisation works of the Beenleigh Redland Bay Roundabout and Medians. The existing landscaping had become dated with sparse vegetation at this significant road interchange. This project required significant organisation and coordination. The works were completed at night with traffic control in place. We also removed all exisiting soil and vegetation and disposed off site. Imported soil and mulch were installed followed by a fresh planting pallet. Existing pavements were cleaned, repaired and painted with a streetbond pavement coating to achieve a fresh, clean and aesthetically pleasing finish.
